Notifications and Dashboard / Home

Stay on top of messages, mentions, files, bookmarks, and directory activity with realtime notifications and the desktop-only Dashboard / Home surface.

Notifications

Desktop notifications appear as tray popups. Mobile notifications use platform push services: Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android and local notifications, PushKit, and CallKit flows on iOS. Priority users and channels can receive more immediate notification treatment where configured.

Dashboard / Home

Dashboard / Home is a desktop-only catch-up surface at launch. It includes Notifications, Mentions, Files, Bookmarks, and Directory tabs backed by server-confirmed events and an encrypted local cache.

Dashboard / Home is not available on mobile today. Mobile users still receive realtime delivery and push notifications.

How to use it

  1. Open Dashboard / Home in the desktop app.
  2. Use Notifications to catch up on server-confirmed activity.
  3. Use Mentions for messages that called you out directly.
  4. Use Files to filter received and sent files by category, sender, channel, or date.
  5. Use Bookmarks for saved messages and Directory for channels, groups, and contacts.
