Access your workspace
Use TheChatApp from the desktop app, mobile app, or browser meeting experience to connect to your team workspace and start collaborating.
Overview
Your workspace is where you send messages, join channels, meet with teammates, share files, search history, and receive notifications. Most day-to-day collaboration happens in the desktop and mobile apps. Browser access is focused on joining meetings as a guest or participant.
| Client | Use it for |
|---|---|
| Desktop | Full workspace use, channels, messages, calls, meetings, calendar, files, Dashboard / Home, admin-capable actions when granted. |
| Mobile | Messaging, calls, meetings, files, contacts, presence, notifications, and mobile push workflows. |
| Browser meeting | Joining a scheduled meeting or guest lobby with an access code or meeting link. |
Connect
Your organization may give you a server address, workspace code, email-based workspace lookup, or meeting link. Sign in with the method your workspace uses: local username/password, SSO, or a meeting guest access code.
- Open the desktop or mobile app.
- Choose the server or workspace you want to use.
- Enter your credentials, use SSO if your workspace provides it, or join a meeting with the access code from the invite.
- After login, confirm your profile, presence, channels, and notification settings.
Sign out
Sign out when you no longer want the device to receive workspace messages or notifications. If your workspace uses SSO, signing out of TheChatApp does not necessarily sign you out of your identity provider session.
